Hi everyone,
I got accepted to the IES study abroad program at the University of Cape Town - Cape Town, South Africa for next semester, Spring 2018! I am a Junior majoring in Public Health and Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies. I will be taking courses focused on health studies and gender/sexuality. I am particularly interested in HIV prevention and I hope to advance my knowledge in Cape Town.
While I have been given some financial assistance from the financial aid office, I still need a little more help to make this trip come into fruition. Travel costs such as air fare, visa application, FBI background checks, etc. have not been covered. While I am currently working two part-time jobs in addition to being a full time student, I unable to acquire all the funds needed by the deadline on my own.
