Eight years ago, I lost my beautiful daughter to SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome). She was only 25 years old. Her passing left a hole in our hearts and a little girl without her mum. I took my granddaughter, Poppy, under my wing and have raised her ever since. She’s now 14, growing into an amazing young lady, and together we’ve been talking about how we could honour her mum’s memory in a meaningful way. We decided that raising money to buy a defibrillator would be a powerful tribute—something that could truly save lives and help prevent another family from going through what we did.
