Asalaamualaikum.

I am fundraising for a madrassah as sadaqah jariya for my late father Mohammed Munir. The madrassah will be built next to my grandfathers mosque in Malawi, Africa. We pray with your donations we are able to complete this madrassah and water well.

As many of you who knew my father know that he was a very loving and caring man who’d help people not only if they could benefit him but also people who were actually in need. He treated situations with fairness and stayed humble always.

On Monday 9th august 2021 both my grandfather(Abdul Majid) and father tested positive for Covid-19. As they both isolated, on Wednesday paramedics were called to the home to check oxygen levels etc, of my grandad. His results came back fine, however after checking my dads stats he was taken into hospital. Following this on Friday morning paramedics were then called again to the home as my grandad was having breathing difficulties. He was then also taken to the hospital and after a night there the doctors told us that he would not last the day. My dad was allowed to come from his ward to see his fathers final moments. This bond was unmatchable, living together for the previous 20 years and the last 5 especially as my grandad became fragile and vulnerable and my dad acted as a carer for him. Sadly on Saturday 14th august we lost Abdul Majid

Now as many of us have come to realise that losing a loved person is one of the most difficult things to take. After my Dad had seen his dad pass away he was then taken back to his ward to try and concentrate on his own recovery. Like many of us would, my dad slowly started to deteriorate fighting the recent death and Covid whilst being alone in a hospital bed. He then started suffering from multiple organ failures and the only resort was to try him on a ventilator. After many days and nights calling the hospital to check The latest and try every solution to fix it, we were told on 25th August 2021 that he will not last very much longer. Me and my brother went to see him for the final time whilst he was-incapable to communicate with us. Sadly on Thursday 26th August 2021, we lost Mohammed Munir at around 3am.After looking after his dad for all them years, he was buried at the feet side of his father.May allah grant them both the highest ranks in jannah❤️

3 weeks before My grandad passed away the mosque he had been building was finally completed. So after long thought about how to do sadqah jariya on behalf of my father We have decided we will build a madrasah besides my grandads mosque. We will hopefully have classes running at the mosque for boys and girls. I think it would be ideal the same way they were close to each other in life, their mosques and madrassah will be side by side. We will also be building a water well around the mosque. Benefitting the community with a prayer place, Education area, and clean water.
