Sadka Jariya - The Late Maroof Hussain

When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him.

I hesitated to create a GFM Page as I was a little onerous and wanted to solely do this for my mum. It wasn't until I started to speak to friends and family on the best ways to continue to support my mum even though she's no longer with me, requests to donate came in.

I quickly realised people want to gain reward as they know the best rewards come by way of supporting others. I thought I already knew just how much my mum was loved but the stories keep coming in of who she was deep down. Loved though her job as a Social Worker for Asian Women of Domestic Violence, through her charity work to support Madrisa's in Pakistan & feed the poor.

The Project..

Right now, Gaza's main water source is critically depleted, with 97% of its water deemed unsafe for consumption due to high salinity, and pollution.

Recognising the urgency, the MATW (Muslims Around the World) team have launched a project to construct new water pipelines in three neighbourhoods and reconstruct damaged water pipelines to restore clean water supply to 150,000 people.

These efforts are not just temporary solutions but part of a strategic initiative to build long-term resilience in Gaza’s water sector. The project will be implemented over the next six months.
