My Story
Hi, my name is Sadie. I have always enjoyed being involved in my community and helping people. I am involved in Girl Scouts, my church and various charities in my community. However my first love is learning especially sciences. In my high school years I have been taking a lot of advance science classes and have decided as I look towards college I would like to pursue a science degree.
Recently The National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists sent me a letter inviting me to The National Congress of Future Scientists and Technologists where I will meet Nobel Prize winners, astronauts, and National Science and Technology Medal winners. This event will take place in Boston on June 29-July 1, 2017. In order to receive an invitation, you must be nominated by your high school, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and show leadership skills in your school and community.
Why GoFund Me?
As much as I would love to go, I would prefer to not burden my family with these expenses and would like to raise the money myself. By donating you would be helping me experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. Attendance would result in recognition and would allow me to start establishing connections that I would be able to carry throughout my college studies and my career. Going to this event would also make me a competitive applicant to all universities.
