Sadie’s Medical Bills and Future Care

On February 28th, after 2 days of hard labor, Sam gave birth to our beautiful Sadie Willow Saccio. Upon delivery, Sadie aspirated meconium and was unable to breathe for an extended amount of time. She was fortunately resuscitated, but showed signs of neurological damage. Instead of the warm homecoming Sam and Thomas envisioned with their daughter, their little Sadie is now in a neonatal intensive care unit receiving treatments to reduce brain damage.

Sadie’s arterial blood gases, EEG, and brain ultrasounds are all showing signs of improvement, and she’ll receive her first MRI this week.

Our donations will help with the unforeseen NICU medical bills, while giving Sam and Thomas the option of choosing the best possible care when they finally bring Sadie home. We will continue to update you. Thank you
