Hi friends and family, we’re fundraising for our dog Sadie. She’s a three-year-old pitbull husky mix with the sweetest personality. She’s playful, goofy, and so full of love. Sadie is also my very first dog, and she has completely changed my life with how much love and joy she’s brought into our home.
A few days ago, Sadie suddenly became weak and wasn’t acting like herself. Her gums turned pale, and we rushed her to the emergency vet. After running tests, they told us she has IMHA (immune-mediated hemolytic anemia), a serious condition where her immune system attacks her own red blood cells.
Sadie had to stay at the ER for fluids, oxygen, and round-the-clock monitoring. Everything happened so fast, and we’re still trying to process it all. The vet said we brought her in early, which gives her a better chance at recovery, but treatment is expensive and unpredictable. So far, we’ve already spent around $2,500 out of pocket, and we truly don’t know how high the total cost will go as she continues treatment and follow-up care.
We’re doing everything we can to cover her care and give her the best chance to recover, but it’s more than we can manage on our own. Any amount, no matter how small, would truly help and mean the world to us. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Sadie means everything to us. She’s been by our side through every part of our lives, and we just want to make sure she gets the care she needs to pull through.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Sadie’s story and for sending love and support her way. She’s our whole heart, and we’re so grateful for any help in giving her the chance she deserves.
