Sādhaka Yoga Centre was damaged in the fire in the Stables Market in Camden on 19 May 2014. From the damage, we hope to emerge stronger. You can see a report on the BBC here.
Sādhaka is wholly committed to supporting its students, teachers and the yoga community as a whole and wish to do so as soon as is possible for all affected by the current situation. From the estimates given to us, it's unlikely that we will be back into the building and operating until approximately 10 to 12 months time due to the space being a listed and needing specialist work.
The purpose of fundraising is to help get us through this initial period and to give us more leverage and opportunity to get yoga classes started as soon as possible. Whatever is left over after these events will be directed back into the Sādhaka community, and the community at large.
Any funds raised will help us cover interim costs for an alternative teaching venue, support staff and teachers and find new opportunities to offer yoga classes to our community as we rebuild the centre.
