Sadaqah Jariyah For my Older Brother
Donation protected
Salaam guys, my brother recently died after a stabbing that occurred on the 13th of September. I’m sure you can understand the pain, hurt and trauma that me and my family have endured after losing my brother to street violence.
As hard of a pill it is to lose someone, death is something every single one of us are gonna face. The moment our soul is returned to Allah, our book of deeds is closed.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’.
In honour of our brother Assad we would like to start different forms of charity; donating some money for orphans as well starting a well in his name god willing.
A verse in the Quran: They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.

On the authority of Sa‘d bin ’Ubadah (ra) that he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Umm (mother of) Sa‘d has died, so which charity is best?’ He [saw] replied, “Water (is best).” He said, ‘So he [ra] dug a well and said, “This (well) is for Umm Sa‘d”’. (Abu Dawud)
We are asking you as our honourable brothers and sisters to help us raise money for our brother Assad (May he be among those in the highest rank of paradise).
For each drop of thirst that is quenched by any given person to something as small as a fly or leaf. The most merciful, most giving will increase that abundance and the rahma (mercy) you showed to your brother in Islam. Alhamduliah we are all alive to reap the benefits of our kind efforts of charity.
It’s hard enough losing him, but to know that we did not do anything to help our brother would be far greater pain to endure.
We have one final request, is that you make Dua for our brother as he in no longer on the earth, please also share this with your friends and family and help us achieve our goal. May Allah reward you all immensely, Allahumma ameen. And may be make you and your family those who reunite in paradise.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un- "Indeed, to Allah SWT we belong and to Him we shall return."
Jazak’allah khayr.
