Ramadan Sadaqah Project: Masjid Yusuf in Africa

                                                                        اَللّهُمَّ بَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَان
                               "Oh Allah, allow us to reach the month of Ramadan"

Abu Hurairah (r.a.) reported Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.) as saying: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth" Allah (swt) only adds to it. (Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264)

Last year with the help of all those who donated, we were able to raise enough money to begin the process of building a Masjid for the sake of Allah in one of the poorer and more rural area's within the Somali region of Ethiopia. 

Alhamdullilah, by the grace of Allah we have been afforded the ability to reach this holy month of Ramadan. As such, I am grateful to be able to organize another campaign in honour of my beloved brother, Koshin Yusuf, who passed away at beginning of last year.  May Allah (swt) have mercy on Koshin’s soul, Ameen.

Previously we raised enough money to build two wells within Kenya and Somalia, Now, with your donations during this holy month of Ramadan, I would like to continue this project by adding washrooms, a Wudu area and carpeting for the Musalah as well as Quran's for the student who will be using the Masjid to learn. The water well that needs to be built will not only be used for Wudu, but also as a water source for the locals and their livestock nearby.

This mosque is based in an area that has a significant population of muslims and children that will benefit from having a local mosque to learn the Quran and pray their salah. I would like to remind everyone the necessity of building the house of Allah for his worshippers who otherwise have no means of building one for themselves. 

During this holy month of Ramadan i pray that these funds may be used to benefit every man, woman and child who will one day use that mosque, and that the good deeds may be brought upon you for donating and you may reap those rewards in the hereafter.
