Update: We are so grateful to share that the water wells built in loving memory of our beloved Mohammed Hanif have now been completed. What began as a way for us to channel our heartbreak into something meaningful has now become a lasting source of benefit for communities in need. Because of your generosity, families now have access to clean, safe water, a basic necessity that transforms every part of daily life.

We are heartbroken to share our beloved Mohammed Hanif (a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend) has passed away. He was the kind of person who could light up any room he walked into, always cracking jokes, sharing laughter, and making everyone feel welcome. As we come together to honour his life, we want to carry on his kindness by donating to build water wells as a sadaqah jariyah in his name for communities in need. This cause reflects the way he lived, always giving, always caring, and always thinking of others.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” These water wells are lifelines and make a huge impact on the communities that receive them. The impact that each water well has on the communities is truly profound, it benefits every single element of their life. People are able to sleep better, they suffer from fewer health complications, they are able to earn more money and go to school, they are able to eat better, their animals are healthier, water truly has a magnificent ripple effect throughout the community, Alhamdulillah.
