Assaalamu alaikum, my name is Felix Larsen. I’m a Dutch entrepreneur and converted to Islam about 3 years ago. As I have successfully built multiple softwares and other projects over the years, I thought I’d try something new with my connections and experience by building an app that actually serves the ummah. This app’s main purpose is to guide pilgrims through Umrah & Hajj, but will also feature services such as adhan, adhkar, Qur’an, deen planner and more.

The first phase until launch will take roughly about 3 months, this will include CMS + Sign Up, the Umrah guide and daily features such as the Qur’an, adhkar etc. Updates such as Madinah + Ziyarah guidance, Hajj guide, physical tour guide services and more will be added later on.

Regarding the Madhab, all 4 (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i and Hanbali) will be used in order to give everyone options and comfort when it comes to specific rituals. When signing up you will get to pick your own Madhab and labels will be added to certain information to reassure you.

I’d like to state one more thing and that is that as the founder of this app, I’m taking a very big responsibility and I acknowledge that. I will make sure that the team will work very precisely and no mistakes will be made. Regarding finance, EVERY PENNY WILL BE PUT INTO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS APP which is estimated to sit around €75.000. Any remaining amount will be used for further sadaqah, a poll will be held what for (in case there’s remaining money after finishing the app).
