Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) for Ibtisam Senussi
Asalaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allahi wa Barakatuh,
On a cold morning in March, my mother, Ibtisam Abdullah Senussi, breathed her last breath and peacefully slipped away to be with her Lord.
My mum was a kind, gentle soul. A long standing member of the Loughborough community, she was an amazing woman of exceptional generosity and kindness. Known for her spectacular table spreads and her love of family and friends, she revelled in showing kindness to others and her inability to turn anyone away was testament to her gentleness. Everyone was welcome at our home and because of it our door and her heart were always open to the next person.
My Mother had a superb smile- the literal meaning of her name was smile- and she will be remembered for her warmth.
My mother was loved by all. I have been personally contacted by people far and wide who have called just to tell me how loved they felt when in her presence. She exuded a warmth that permeated deep inside and radiated joy to all those she knew. She was loved, did love and will always be loved.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:
"When a person dies all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who prays for him." As well as the goodness my mother did in this dunya, I’d like to continue these good deeds for my mother so that they may provide light for her grave and speak for her goodness until the day of reckoning. I’d like to raise funds to build a well as a sadaqah Jariyah for my mother and would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you.
