Sadaqah Jariyah in the memory of our Grandad

I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read our story. My family has been blindsided by the loss of our dad/grandad/nana, Rehm Ali.

My grandad had passed on the blessed day; Friday (26/01/24). My grandad was the most funniest, handsome, courageous, selfless, purest person that I knew. My grandads presence, his humour, his character never failed to make us all smile no matter the situation, without him here it’s left us all feeling lost. We are all struggling to come to terms with the loss of my grandad, he was a massive part of our family, may Allah SWT give us Sabr (patience) and strength during this difficult time, Ameen. I ask everyone to keep my grandad in your duas, I thank Allah SWT for the years he gave us with our grandad. He has now returned to his creator, ‘surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return’.

We aim to help support our local mosque with a renovation project in memory of our beloved grandfather, as charitable Sadaqa Jariyah.

We will continue to remember my grandad in our hearts and duas. May Allah forgive his sins, grant him the highest ranks of Jannatul Firdaus, may he be raised amongst the righteous and may Allah widen his grave and make it a garden from Jannah, Ameen.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, 'When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), knowledge from which benefit is gained, and a righteous child who prays for him? (Hadith, Muslim)
