‎بسم الله الرّحمن الرحيم
It is with the most heavy of hearts that we are writing this but sadly our amazing sister Lujayne Zein passed away on Sunday 12th of April. Not only was she the best sister anyone could ask for but she was the most amazing soul and we’re so happy we got to spend 16 years with such an amazing character.

Lujayne was born with a disability called CHARGE syndrome which did not allow her to develop at a normal age. On the 14th of January 2020 she went in to have her 3rd heart surgery and she has since then been in hospital fighting for her life like the fighter she is, Alhamdulilah. Whilst in hospital she developed Sepsis which is an infection - even then she continued to battle away with every bit of strength she had. On the 10th of February the hospital told our family they would have to operate on her heart again, the day after this she had a cardiac arrest- again she came out of this fighting. Her 3rd operation happened roughly a month after as there was fluid around her heart. If you knew Lujayne you would know she was one to never give up without a fight which is what is giving me and my family the sabr to deal with this today. Lujayne was the most beautiful, amazing and sweetest person we have ever met and we thank Allaah (swt) everyday that He blessed us with such a heart warming person.

To us she never had a heart condition because her heart was pure gold and Alhamdullilah Allaah gave her 16 amazing years with a family that love her always. Today we ask you to please make Duaa for our family and Lujayne.

We want to build a water well for Lou because if anyone knew her, knew how much she loved her water! She would walk around with her little water bottle all the time. After her first operation in January, she was told by doctors and nurses she was not allowed water to help her recovery. Lou being Lou tricked nurses into getting water, she would say she needs a cup of water to brush her teeth, once the nurses backs were turned, she would quickly gulp as much as she could. She would also whisper in my sister’s ears to persuade her to give her water and obviously get annoyed if Sab didn’t agree with the mission lol. Lou would never give up.

Every sip would begin with ‘Bismillah’, so gracious, so grateful.

We would also like to raise money for less fortunate children with disabilities in the world. Lujayne had many different health conditions in which she needed regular hospital treatment and care. However, there are many children in the world that are not able to receive the care they deserve and need. With money raised we will be able facilitate just some of those needs.

May Allaah reward you all.

Ameen
