Sadaqah Jariyah: In Loving Memory of Abdirizak Mohamed Sahal

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Abdirizak Mohamed Sahal, who returned to his Creator on the morning of December 13, 2024, on his 38th birthday. Abdirizak was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him. With his infectious laughter, radiant smile, and warm-hearted nature, he had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued, as though they had been lifelong friends.

Abdirizak was a man of many talents. His gift for music and comedy brought joy to countless hearts, and his ability to brighten any room was unmatched. Above all, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend who embodied compassion and kindness. He leaves behind his loving parents, three devoted brothers, and a family filled with nieces and nephews who adored him. His legacy of love and joy will forever live on in our hearts.

In honor of Abdirizak’s beautiful soul and to continue his legacy of bringing light to others, we have embarked on a noble cause: to build a water well in his name in Somalia. This act of charity, or Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), is one of the most meaningful ways to benefit a loved one who has passed away in Islam.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them."

By building a well, we aim to provide a continuous source of reward for Abdirizak. We humbly invite you to join us in this effort. Your contribution, no matter how small, will be a lasting gift that keeps on giving, not only for the people who will benefit but also for Abdirizak’s eternal reward. Together, we can ensure his legacy lives on through this act of compassion and service.
