Sadaqah Jariyah for the Jarada Family Martyrs

انا لله و انا اليه راجعون.

Since October 7, we have seen inhumane responses by Israeli forces, displacing, bombing, and murdering thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians.

On October 25, the Jarada family house was struck, murdering 10 members of the family. These members include Abdelsalam Abutabikh's grandfather Harbi Garada, his grandmother, Fawzia Garada, his uncles, Rabah Garada and Mohammed Garada, his aunts Roba Garada, Hala Saleh/Garada, his cousins, Kareem Garada, Harbi Rabah Garada, Mimana Garada, and Habiba Garada. These martyrs lived a difficult life under Israeli occupation, but despite the circumstances, they are remembered for their joy, high spirits, and happiness through it all. The martyrs were kind, compassionate people who lived a pious life, never hurting anyone or anything. نحتسبه عند الله من الشهداء

Giving water is a highly recommended act in Islam. In fact, the Prophet said it is the best form of sadaqah. When Umm Sa’d died, Sa’d ibn Ubadah asked the Prophet ﷺ, ‘What form of sadaqah is best?’ He replied, ‘Water (is best).’ He dug a well and said, ‘It is for Umm Sa’d.’ (Al-Albani).

In commemorating their resilience, strength, and strong faith in Allah, even through these hardships, the community wants to continue the prophet's tradition of sadaqah by building wells in honor of our 10 martyrs. The funds will be used to build three wells in impoverished areas so their legacy and hasanat live on.

Please keep these martyrs in your duaa, and their family, that Allah grants them Sabr and Silwan.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لهم وَارْحَمْهُم وَعَافِهِم وَاعْفُ عنْهم وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُم وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُم وَاغْسِلْهُم بمَاءٍ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِم مِنْ اَلْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبُ الأبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ وَأَبْدِلْهُم دَارًا خَيْرًا مِن دَارِهِم، وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِن أَهْلِهِم وَأَدْخِلْهُم اَلْجَنَّةَ وَقِهِم فِتْنَةَ القَبْرِ وَعَذَابَ النَّارِ

Donation information: the money collected will be donated to organizations including IRUSA and Muslim Global Relief. The decision will be made by the family of martyrs once the fundraiser is complete.
