Sadaqah Jariyah for Shafeeq Khatab

Inna lilahi wa inna lilahi raji’oon.
On July 24, 2023 my beloved brother Shafeeq khatab aged 21 passed away returning back to Allah.
It aches my heart knowing we aren’t able to make more memories with our beloved Shafeeq but his qadr was written before we were created and we pray Allah showers mercy upon his soul. He was such a passionate and driven kid, always talking about his dreams of making it to the NBA striving through junior high and high school with big hopes. He was the type of person that when he’d walk into a room he’d make you laugh right away, always the one with the biggest smile. I thank Allah I was blessed enough to experience 20 years with an older brother, a second father, and a best friend.
We are hoping to raise money in his name during these last 10 nights of Ramadan so that the funds may go towards a good cause such as building a well, building an orphanage and masjid. Sadaqah Jariyah is a blessed form of charity that offers continuous rewards throughout our lifetime in this dunya as well as in the Hereafter.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim).
Any help no matter what will be much help for our brothers and sisters in need around the world and will be a blessed form of sadaqah jariyah on behalf of our beloved Shafeeq jan.
