Assalamu Alaikum,

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, ‘when a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except for three things: on-going charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who will pray for him. (Sahih Muslim)

We are fundraising for our beloved father, Moina Miah, who returned to his creator on Sunday 25th December 2022.

Our father was a simple man with much love for his children. He set the foundations for all of us to settle in the UK, establish ourselves and support our local communities where possible. He was known for his generosity, particularly his charity work related to various causes in Bangladesh.

As our father became an orphan at a young age (he also didn't have any siblings) and as he had a vision of seeing a secondary school being built in his home village (particularly to support female education), we intend to raise funds to set-up a secondary School/orphanage in his birthplace of Kotalpur, (Borlekha) Moulvi Bazaar, Bangladesh.

Once we have chosen the right charity we will update the information here. Any changes the family decides regarding the details of the sadaqah Jariyah (on-going charity) will be updated here as well.

Please do keep our father in your duas and that Allah reunites us with our loved ones in Jannah.
