Sadaqah Jariyah for our beloved sister Fatima Ibrahim Adam

Last October, our beloved sister, Fatima Ibrahim Adam, whom we knew as Mona, returned to Allah SWT, after a battle with cancer. She left behind a legacy of love, generosity, and selflessness. To know Mona was to know someone whose heart was always open, whether through her warmth, her unwavering support, or the way she made everyone around her feel valued and loved.

Mona wasn’t just kind; she lived purely for Allah SWT and because of her love for Him, she gave without hesitation, loved without limits, and always put the needs of those around her before her own. Even as she battled cancer, her concern was never for herself but for the people she loved. No matter how difficult things became, she remained selfless, strong, and full of compassion. She was dedicated to helping others, always seeking ways to ease someone’s burden or bring comfort to those in need.

One of the causes closest to Mona’s heart was helping the less fortunate, especially orphans. This Ramadan, in her honour, we want to continue the generosity she embodied by sponsoring an orphanage in Yemen, providing children with food, education, healthcare and the love and care they deserve.

Sahl bin Sa'd narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: " I and the sponsor of an orphan shall be in Paradise like these two." And he indicated with his fingers, meaning his index and his middle finger
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1918)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."
(Riyad as-Salihin 1383)

The beauty of Sadaqah Jariyah is that its impact continues long after it is given, and in return, the reward for the giver remains even after they have left this world. By supporting this cause, we hope to build a lasting source of care and support, one that keeps Mona’s generosity alive in the best way possible.

We invite you to be a part of this effort. Every contribution, big or small, will not only change lives but will also serve as a continuous reward for Mona. May this act of charity be a means of mercy, a source of blessings, and a reflection of the love she so effortlessly gave to the world.

Please donate and share, and let’s make this Ramadan a time of giving, remembrance, and love.

May Allah (SWT) grant Mona the highest ranks in Jannah and ease the hearts of all who miss her and may He remember us the way we remember her. Ameen.
