Sadaqah Jariyah for Nadia Ali

Bismillah,

(Hadith of the Prophetﷺ, narrated by Muslim), “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a child who prays for them.”

The purpose of this campaign is to build a water well in Uganda, Africa (as a Sadaqah Jaariyah) in memory and honor of a beloved sister, a phenomenal mother, the kindest daughter, the world’s greatest, sweetest, most thoughtful wife, and a best friend to all that knew her, our sweet and gentle, Nadia L. Ali. This well will supply a village in Uganda, an area of high need, with access to running water. May Allah accept this well from Nadia and continue to bestow his mercy and blessings upon her beautiful soul in the grave every single day, from now until the day of Judgment. Ameen. May Allah bless Nadia and her family and all those that have passed with the highest level of Jannah. (May Allah elevate your rank, my beautiful Nadia, and bless you to be seated amongst the greatest women in Jannah, with our beloved Khadijah, Fatimah, Aasiyah, Aisha, and Maryam). May Allah reward all those who contribute to this effort and all those who want to but cannot with equal blessings. (Ameen, Ameen, Ameen.)

Our beloved Nadia is now remembered in our memories and hearts. SubhanAllah, was known for her gentle patience and hardly ever complained about the pain she was experiencing all throughout her cancer diagnosis. Whenever our beloved Nadia was in pain she would quietly go into one of the bedrooms with a heating pad, lay down, and close the door. (Perhaps the heating pad brought our sweet Nadia comfort as the heating pad was no match for someone on controlled pain patches.) May Allah reward you immensely for your patience and for every cell in your body that caused you pain or the slightest discomfort, our dear beautiful Nadia, Ameen. Nadia’s condition had worsened over the last 2-3 weeks. The cancer was found to have metastasized throughout her internal organs, leading to her liver severely weakening. Our beloved Nadia fought through it all with the strength and patience that she was known for. As always, even in her most challenging, most painful moments, Nadia was still the strongest and the most patient.

On the morning of her most severe set of complications, she mentioned to her husband that she was having trouble breathing and was taken by ambulance to the emergency room. Early that Wednesday morning, in a quick series of events, Nadia was eventually hospitalized and placed in the ICU. She was put on a ventilator and connected to a series of drug therapies to keep her “stabilized”. She gave all that she could until she could not give anymore. In our sister’s last hours in the hospital room, our beloved, sweet, kind, beautiful Nadia was surrounded by her closest family and friends as they were all echoing the words of “La illaha illa Allah”. She passed away on Thursday at 2:36 pm and was buried the following day, Friday, the day of Jummah.

Nadia was a wonderful, dedicated, and loving mother to her four children, Jannah 20 years old, Abu- Bakr 18 years old, Tamadur 4 years old, and Faris 2 years old. Their grief is unparalleled and there are no words to describe their pain. Her children were her life and her family was the love that held it all together. Nadia’s four beautiful children are what remains of her existence here on earth. For they are all the best reminders of her kindness, strength, resilience, love, generosity, and compassion to all those around her. Our dear, sweet Nadia, May Allah (SWT) unite us all again in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen, Ameen, Ameen. We love and miss you tremendously.

We ask that you kindly consider donating to this blessed cause in our beloved Nadia’s name and help provide families in need with access to water in Uganda . May Allah accept your efforts and reward you immensely in this world and in the next. Ameen. Thank you for your thoughtful contribution in memory and honor of our beloved Nadia L. Ali.
