Sadaqah Jariyah for Muhammed Alaur Rahman

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon
"Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return"

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]

On Wednesday 19th June 2024, 13 Dhuʻl-Hijjah 1445 AH, our dear brother, Muhammed Alaur Rahman, returned to his creator at age 30. The news has been a shock to the family and those that knew him.

Younger brother to 5 of his siblings, elder brother to 2 sisters, including myself, and the youngest son of his parents. Kind, caring, and funny; those that were lucky enough to know him personally can vouch for his character. We remain in awe of the man he was, and hearing endless stories of his beautiful character only confirms what his family already thought him to be. We continue to be reminded of his humble nature, and soft heart.

Our family is hoping to eternalise his good deeds through Sadaqah Jariyah. These funds will be channelled into charitable projects that will provide continuous benefits such as supporting orphaned children, building wells and planting trees.

A portion of this money will also be put towards constructing a mosque in Mubarakpur, Osmani Nagar, Goalabazaar, Sylhet. Our late Nana had plans to rebuild this Masjid to better serve his village and also wished to create a Madrassa for the local children. Alaur spent a lot of his time in Bangladesh here and this cause was very close to his heart.

If anyone would like more information about the Sadaqah Jariyah causes, please reach out to the family. The donations will be handled by Alaur’s immediate family and we will deliver the funds to Bangladesh to start and oversee the various causes on Alaur’s behalf.

Verily the eyes shed tears and the heart grieves and we are saddened over Alaur's departure from this world. Please take this moment to recite Surah Al-Fatiha for our beloved Alaur, and continue to keep him your duas.

O Allah, forgive Muhammed Alaur Rahman and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him. Enlarge his grave, shed light upon him, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

We ask everyone to participate, reflecting Alaur's generosity and furthering his positive impact on the world. Let us remember that each contribution to this Sadaqah Jariyah not only honours Alaur's memory, but also extends his good deeds beyond the grave.

Every donation, no matter the size, is important. The Prophet (ﷺ) taught us that even half a date in charity can be enough if given sincerely.

These are the acts that will truly benefit him now. Please join us in this cause and help our dear brother, Muhammed Alaur Rahman.

May Allah accept our efforts, forgive and have mercy on Alaur and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen

JazakAllahu Khayran.
