Sadaqah Jariyah for Luthfun Nehar

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon

Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.

Our beloved grandmother Luthfun Nehar (mother of Zoinul Abidin, Hafiz Rafique Ahmad, Shuyeb Ahmed) passed away on 17/03/23 and we (the grandchildren) intend to raise money to build a well (or multiple wells!) in Bangladesh in her name. We pray this will be accepted as a form of sadaqah jariyah and she continues to reap the rewards of everyone that has access to this well. We will collect the funds ourselves and directly ensure this well is built in a community with a deep need for this - the vastness or number of wells will be decided dependent on the amount raised.

She was a very simple woman and throughout our lives she has always taken care of and looked out for us. The way our Dadi/Nani was and her characteristics insha'allah all of us grandkids can resemble even a tiny bit of her character and when we all have children we can insha'allah pass on everything that she has taught us. We pray and make dua that dadi's/nani's everlasting legacy always stays behind and we will always remember and speak about all the good memories that we have had with her.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah.), beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim).

May Allah grant our grandmother Jannat-ul-Firdous, and accept this charity from her and us. Ameen
