Assalamu Alaikum. With heavy hearts, we come together today to honour the life of our beloved mother Anab Hassan Aden who we unfortunately lost suddenly.

My mom was a remarkable individual who was extremely hardworking and devoted her life to the sake of Allah. For over 12 years she volunteered to clean Al-Omari mosque and would always look forward to visiting the mosque every single day.

She was a beloved member of the community who would not hesitate to help others in need.

My mother Anab was a cherished member of our community, a loving mother, a devoted friend, and an inspiration to everyone who has had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, she has shown tremendous strength, resilience, and kindness, touching the lives of many with her compassion and grace.

As a family, we want to ensure that my moms final journey is filled with love, comfort, and dignity. We are coming together to raise funds for Sadaqah Jariyah for my dear mother.

Sadaqah Jariyah is an important concept within Islam - it is a gift that not only benefits others in this life but also benefits us and our loved ones in the next. (Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ) “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”

Insha’Allah all of the funds raised through this campaign will be used solely for the purpose of giving Sadaqah Jariyah. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference, showing our collective love and appreciation for the beautiful soul that my mother Anab Aden was.
