In the memory of our late Grandmother (Nanu), Halema Begum.
On behalf of Nanu, we are raising donations as Sadaqah Jariya to help fund water well projects and sponsoring a child to become a Hafiz.
Our beloved family member has left this world and returned to our Lord Allah SWT on Jumma 18th February 2021 (5pm US time) at the age of 85. In our Grandmothers lifetime, Allah blessed her with 8 children, 8 stepchildren, 45 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren Alhamdulillah.
She had beautiful characteristics, good manners and showed nothing but genuine love towards everyone she came across. Her good-nature and pure soul has been captured by her loved ones and will be dearly missed.
She spoke in a gentle manner and treated people with kindness. She accepted hardship and the trials Allah SWT tested her with throughout her life, which she dealt with Sabr (patience) and remembrance of Allah. We would be honoured to have even half of her attributes and will continue to remember and pray for her. May Allah SWT grant our Sweet Nanu Jannatul Firdaus, along with our Grandad (Nana) and the whole Ummah.
Our Grandmother was a humble and charitable person, who was fond of giving to the poor and needy. We are doing Sadaqah Jariya on behalf of her so that she continues to be rewarded in the hereafter Insha’Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim).
We will be raising money for a water well to help provide clean and safe water to those in need. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “The best charity is giving water to drink.”
The donations will also go towards sponsoring orphans with their Hifz studies and Qur’an distribution projects. The Qur’an is full of truth and guidance for the world and it is important that the message is conveyed to as many people as possible.
May Allah SWT reward you for your donations and bless you in this world and the hereafter. The Prophet (SAW) said “The charity you give will be your shade on the day of judgement”
