Ten years ago, we lost our late beloved mother Hajan Shagufta Parveen. Not a day goes by without thinking of her love, kindness, and the sacrifices she made. She lived her life helping anyone she could, whether it was through charity, a kind word, or simply showing up when someone needed her. She believed deeply in caring for those who had less and made it her mission to give.

To mark ten years since her return to Allah ﷻ, we want to honor her memory through Sadaqah Jariyah, a lasting charity that continues to benefit others and bring reward to her soul. We are raising funds to build homes for families living in extreme poverty in low-income countries. So many are without shelter, security, or comfort, things she believed every human being deserves.

As her daughter, this is the most meaningful way I can honour her by continuing the kindness she showed in her lifetime. In Islam, we are taught that when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except through three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them. I hope this effort brings her ease in the grave and light in the hereafter.

Even the smallest contribution can help change a life and be a source of endless blessings. May your generosity be returned to you in this life and the next.
