To Allah we belong and to him we shall return. My beloved father and beloved uncle were victims that sadly passed away due to the attack on Villa Rays in Mogadishu, May Allah have mercy on their souls.

We created this gofundme to ensure my father (Abdulqadir Abdullahi Ahmed Sede) and uncle (Mohamed-Sayid Hassan Elmi) can receive good deeds, though they are not here with us today. The funds raised will be put towards building water wells in their names. Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘And whoever saves one [a life] - it is as if he had saved all of mankind’. (Qur’an, 

5:32)

We want to create a well in their name, as giving water to the less fortunate or animals is immensely beneficial. This will provide clean and safe water for the poor, in the country that they called home. This well can end up serving thousands of people. On the authority of Sa’d bin Ubadah (RA) he said “O Messenger of Allah, Umm Sa’d has died, so which charity is best?” The Messenger of Allah (SAW) replied “Water (is best)”. So Sa’d dug a well and said “This is for the mother of Sa’d) (Abu Dawud)

This is also Sadaqah jariyah for anyone who donates. It gives all of us a great opportunity to help the less fortunate while also contributing to my father and uncles afterlife as well as our own.

The Prophet Muhammed (saw) said “The believers shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity” (Al-Tirmidhi) Hadith 604.

May Allah grant them the highest rank in jannah, and place Noor in their graves, and forgive all of their shortcomings, ameen❤️
