إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return

As many of you know I recently lost my Grandfather and Grandmother to covid and my brother to a hit and run in the span of just a few days. My grandfather did a lot for marginalized communities throughout northern and southern Somalia and in places like wardheer where he was from. Like his father before him, he dedicated his life to the betterment of those less fortunate than he was. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."

The money will go towards building a well in Somalia and one in wardheer in honor of my Grandfather Grandmother and Brother, the rest will go towards expenses and donations to those less fortunate than us.
