﷽,
In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful.
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Inna ilillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Chala Hussein was a son, brother, friend and an inspiration to us all amongst other things. Taken away from us so abruptly, we say Alhamdulilah for all the good times we were fortunate enough to share with him in his short 24 years.

On the evening of March 15th we lost our beautiful Chala in a tragic car accident and his soul returned to his creator. I’m reminded at how incredibly fleeting life is as we were expecting my brother to return back to the America in the next couple of months. As Allah decreed, he has returned to his maker. May Allah have mercy on your beautiful soul.

I watched Chala grow from a baby into a young man. His presence was one felt by us all and anyone who was fortunate enough to meet him can vouch for this. He had great potential in this world which was snatched away from him, but surely Allah is the best of planners and this was his time. He was greatly loved and cherished by us all and he will continue to live amongst us and we will honor him in everything we do.

I will never stop speaking your name, my mind will never stop thinking about you. I will miss you and I pray that we meet again in paradise. May Allah give you the highest ranks of Jannah. Allah has a plan for us all. Words will never describe how truly good of a man he was to my family and I.

Ya Allah please forgive him and elevate his station among those who are guided in Jannah. Send him along the path of those who came before. Oh Lord of the worlds, enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.

The Prophet ﷺ said “when a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them”.With this money, we hope to commemorate his legacy by expanding and donating to the masjid community he belonged to in Adama, Oromia. The masjid and local community in, Adaama, consists of a small population. When my brother left Seattle to go back home to Oromia, the masjid community embraced him like he was their own. With this fund, we hope to thank them for taking care of my brother when he was most vulnerable.
