Mujidat Lawal is from Lagos State, Nigeria. Unfortunately, her husband passed away in 2008. As a widow after her husband demise, she has to support herself and her children.
Ms. Lawal is a Type 1 Diabetes patient. While working, she got a cut on her foot. She was not educated properly that extra care needed to be taken due to her Type 1 Diabetic condition. The cut developed into a wound, the wound get worsened and spread throughout her right leg. The hospital recommended amputation as the only treatment. She sold her belongings and had to beg family members and friends to help raise funds to pay part of the medical bill. Due to her lower limb amputation, Mujidat is unable to walk and perform everyday activities for herself. This situation have caused her a huge financial burden and access to basic needs have been very challenging.
The fund raised will help Mujidat pay her medical bills, buy her medications, get her an artificial leg, secure accommodation, feed herself and her children, and lessen other financial struggles that she and her family will encounter along the way.
Mujidat is a caring mother, a beautiful sister, a devoted teammate, and a true friend. She is a wonderful woman who is adored by many.
