Sadaqa Jariyah for Zekki Mohammed Kemal

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
"Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (Qur’an 2:156)

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh (Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you).

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Zekki Mohammed Kemal, whom Allah (SWT) has called back to Him. Zekki was a son, a brother, a cousin, and a dear friend who touched the lives of everyone around him.

Those who knew Zekki will remember his generosity, kindness, and selflessness. He was the type of person who would give the clothes off his back and his last dollar to help someone in need.

We are now raising funds for Zekki’s Sadaqah Jariyah (صدقة جارية – ongoing charity). As the Prophet ﷺ said:

"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Sahih Muslim)

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ

وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ

Allahumma ighfir lahu warhamhu, wa ‘afihi wa‘fu ‘anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi‘ mudkhalahu.

(O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, grant him a noble reception, and widen his grave.)

May Allah (SWT) accept these efforts as ongoing charity on his behalf, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
