Hi my name is Somru & I’m raising funds for Mustaq Chowdhury (Alongir) which we can put towards a charitable cause in his name.

when a person dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge or righteous child who prays for them.

At the end of May 2025 our beloved friend/brother Mustaq Chowdhury (Alongir) departed from this world. He was Buried in Loughborough Cemetery on Leicester road, if you wish to visit his grave to pay your respect to him you can do so.

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Arabic: إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎) is a part of a verse (2:156) from the Qur'an which translates to "Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return."

We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of our beloved friend, Mustaq & many know him through growing up with him, working with him, a humble soul whose warmth, generosity, and kindness touched everyone in our community. Known and loved by the entire town, Mustaq lived a life full of compassion, always putting others before himself & he would always greet everyone & he always had a smile on his face. His presence lit up every room, and his absence leaves an unfillable void.

In honour of his memory and in keeping with the values he lived by, we are raising funds to build clean water wells for communities in need, offering a source of life to the less fortunate—just as he was a source of comfort, strength, and care to all of us.

This initiative is a tribute not just to his name but to the beautiful legacy he leaves behind: helping others, even in his absence. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will go toward providing life-saving access to clean water and keeping his memory alive through acts of goodness.
