In Loving Memory of Shadi Bakheet Bashir
Who passed away on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, in London.

“To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother , who returned to his Lord on Tuesday. Son of the late Bakheet Ibrahim Bashir and Mrs. Noor Abbadi, and brother of Mohamed, Leena, Sheima, and Hala.
Father of Mariam, Noor, and Fatima.

He touched the lives of so many with his warmth, humour, and generous spirit.

His Janazah will be held after Jummah on Friday at Regents Park Mosque. We invite family, friends, and community members to come together in prayer and remembrance.

The burial will follow immediately after the prayer at the Muslim cemetery in East London:

Gardens of Peace Muslim Cemetery
Maylands Field
Colchester Road
RM3 0NZ

We ask Allah, the Most Merciful, to envelop him in His vast mercy, grant him a place in the highest ranks of Paradise with the righteous, the martyrs, and the truthful, and to bless his family and loved ones with patience and solace

In honour of Shadi’s memory, we have set up this GoFundMe campaign as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). In Islam, giving in someone’s name is a powerful way to continue the blessings and rewards for them even after they have passed. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
— Sahih Muslim
This fundraiser will serve multiple purposes:

Supporting Shadi’s family during this difficult time.
Contributing to ongoing charitable efforts in his name — such as building wells, supporting orphans, or educational initiatives — that will continue to benefit him in the Hereafter, inshaAllah.
We ask you to donate whatever you can, and more importantly, to keep Shaadi in your duas (prayers). May Allah have mercy on him, forgive his sins, grant him the highest rank in Jannah, and give patience and strength to all who are grieving his loss.

Jazakum Allahu khayran for your support.
