Sadaqa Jariya for Mohammed (Mozzay) Abdullahi

‎السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

With heavy hearts, we share the news of our beloved brother Mohamed (Mozay) Abdullahi has returned to Allah on November 2nd, 2023.

He was a cornerstone in our community, contributing significantly to the youth programming at Khalid bin Al-Walid Masjid and also helping establish Masjid al-Istiqama. Mohamed loved the brotherhood and always gave the 'Salaam' with a smile on his face. Even in his silent battle with illness, he maintained his radiant smile, embodying patience and resilience.

In honor of his legacy, we aim to build a well and renovate a masjid in his name.

As the Prophet ﷺ said, "When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous son who prays for him." (Sunan an-Nasa'i 3651)
