As salam aleykum wa rahmatullah
Bismillah wal Hamdulillah

On the night of Sunday 17th July 2022, our Shaykh Abu Usamah Ath Thahabi suggested that a fundraise be made for our late peer Sudais ibn Abdallah who passed away by drawning on holiday back in his country Germany. He was 16 years old. Our shaykh speak about him in the video below at 46:20.

Anyone in our weekly classes throughout the last 4 or 5 years must have noticed Sudais, his father Abdallah, his brothers Shuraim and Shaakir . Although I preceeded them in these gatherings, I have always been amaized and respectful of the level of consistency him and his family had. I was alway happy to see them coming to the classes. They were practically raised up in those gathering as Shaykh Abu Usamah said. I remember, Subhanallah, to the extend I felt a bit jealous about a year ago when I heard his big brother Shuraim got married, because I was hoping I would propose my little sister to him. And then, I hope Sudais would be the one marrying my other little sister in a few years. Wallahul musta'an.

Insha Allah, our brother Sudais is a martyr. Jabir ibn ‘Atik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There are seven martyrs besides one who is killed in the way of Allah: the victim of plague is a martyr, the one who drowns is a martyr, ... (to the end of the hadith)” Reported by Abī Dāwūd in his Sunan n°3111.

Insha Allah, Sudais will be under the shade of Allah. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There are seven whom Allah will shade on a day when there is no shade but His. They are a just ruler, a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, ... (to the end of the hadith)” Reported by Al Bukhārī n°660 and Muslim n°1031.

In memory of Sudais, and keeping in mind I got to know him in a gathering of knowledge. The funds collected in this fundraise will go towards sadaqa jaariyah projects, from dawah and teaching materials, to recording equipements and more, with the hope that he continiously gets rewarded for whoever benefits from it until Allah inherits the earth.

May Allah have mercy on us and him, may He make usn from those who pass away in a state of submission to Him and while He is pleased with us. May he give the necessary patience to his family for indeed a calamity has befall them. Ameen.
