So after 8 years...
I feel it's that time in my life...
To........
Shave - The - Beard!!!
But I won't just shave what's become
- My look
- My style
- My identity
Just like that...
Some of you want to see it gone, and some of you don't!
I feel that doing something like this is well worth warranting a fund-raiser for not just one, but FOUR charities that I hold close to my heart (and beard).
So I will ONLY shave it once I hit my target!!!
Why Split the monies donated, and to where is the donation/ monies going???
Well My beard has grown with me, and my identity physically as it has every other part in my life and journey these last 8 years.. So sacrificing it up there is with the largest "sacrifice" I can make and it needs to equate to a positive outcome to help benefit others!
For my close reasonings, your donation with be equally split between
1. Chris O'Brien Lifehouse
The team at RPA are amazing and I've got nothing but great things to say about them... Through recent experiences with the team there, I was more than impressed with what they did and I want to be able to offer a contribution to keep them growing and doing what they do so well!
2. Foodbank
Every dollar donated provides 2 meals to those in Australia struggling for whatever the reason and need a meal! Families and all.
3. Beyond Blue
For those that know me, you know how strongly I hold personal mental health in life and how it's negatively affected several close people in my life over my years, I try and promote positivity whenever possible, and Beyond Blue supports these people in need
4. The local animal shelter
The last 1/4 of monies to be donated to my sacrifice will be turned into whatever the animals and my local shelter need most. I will purchase the full amount in either food, clothes, blankets, bedding or whatever the animals need directly
So if you're still reading, I won't apologise for this post being long winded as I want to express my full emotion to you and hope you return the feeling and support me for the 4 great causes that I am sacrificing my longest and best feature over the last 8 years ❤
