Sabrina’s stroke treatment at AVIV Clinics

On July 2, 2022, Sabrina had a tragic hemorrhagic stroke causing right-side paralysis and difficulty speaking. Her surgeon calls her a 1%er as she has had significant improvements in her ability to use her right leg, and right arm, and using couple word phrases when she speaks when they truly didn’t know if she would survive this. Despite these miraculous improvements there is still needs a lot more that would need to improve for her to reopen her business and be the mom she so desires to be.

She has been attending PT/OT/speech therapies multiple times a week for almost a year now, and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to get insurance coverage for these therapies. A couple of months ago we learned of post-stroke hyperbaric therapy and the major improvements stroke survivors were obtaining even YEARS after the stroke. AVIV Clinic in Florida is one of the leading clinics offering this therapy. After lots of research and talking we have decided to pursue this therapy with the hope of significant improvements for Sabrina’s recovery. Post-stroke therapy is an "off-label" use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the U.S. so treatment and housing are all at her/our family’s expense. It is significantly expensive, so we are asking for your help. We are so grateful for all our friends and family who have supported us thus far with love, home-cooked meals, rides to and from therapies, organizing and donating to an original gofundme, and sending gift cards for meals and flights, Sabrina (and us) wouldn’t be where we are today without you all!
