Three years ago, everything changed when my husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. He has endured surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, and while I’m grateful every day that he is still with us, he has been unable to work. Overnight, I became the sole provider for our family — the true “breadwinner.”

Through the exhaustion of working multiple jobs, one thing became clear: my time and energy belong in something meaningful and lasting. That’s where sourdough comes in. When I bake, I feel grounded. When I share bread, I feel connected.

My goal is to turn my 30 years of sourdough experience into a dream of opening my own micro bakery, "Millie’s Bread", where every loaf will be handmade with care, using only the best ingredients. My dream is to bring families and communities together, one loaf at a time.

To make this dream a reality, I need help raising $20,000 to cover essential renovations and kitchen equipment to turn my garage into a micro bakery. The cost for the oven alone is nearly $10,000 — more than I can manage on my own. This micro bakery is the key to turning my passion into a sustainable business, allowing me to provide for my family and give back to my community with real, nourishing food.
