My name is Sabrina Haley, and I am reaching out for support during this difficult time, as I have traveled away from my life to assist in, in home hospice care for my father. My father was a man of nature and adventure and was always kind to those around him. He taught me to be the nature loving exploring human I am today.

My father was diagnosed with Frontaltemporal dementia last October. It has been a shockingly quick decline. Last April, we were able to take a walk. I came back to walk again this Oct for a week. He was talking and at least walking to the bathroom, but no more walks. Then by the end of the week, he was too ill to leave bed. I had to cancel my flight home and step up in care. Leading us to the hard decision to start, In-Home Hospice Care. We are so happy to have him, in home and the nurses have been so helpful, though they come daily, they do not stay during the day for the hourly care that is needed. My stepmom and I have stepped up to do this routine.

Due to this rapid, decline, I have had to extend my time in Kentucky for the foreseeable future. As a sole proprietor of my landscaping business, I am not able to make income while I am away form my work and do not receive paid time off. I also have lots of travel expenses to make all my time here workable.

These generous donations would help me cover basic cost of living while I am away, such as rent, airfare, and other travel expenses.
