I’m writing this with a lot of anxiety and humility. You guys know I’m not one to post my business on social media, but I’m in a jam. My car was recently stolen and found to have been used in the commission of a crime. As a result, I’ve been pulled into an overwhelming situation I had nothing to do with — and now I’m left to pick up the pieces on my own.

I’m a first generation college graduate working hard to build a life after school. I work so hard for everything I have, and for these people to just take my car without a second thought, is just crazy. My car was everything — my way to get to work, attend events, run errands, and just keep going. To make things worse, my purse was left inside when the car was taken. That included my ID, credit cards, and personal items, which are now either gone or being investigated as part of the crime.

I had liability-only insurance, which unfortunately does not cover theft or loss. That means I’m still on the hook for the loan on the stolen vehicle — and without a car, I’m struggling to get to work, take care of basic needs, and stay afloat. I only discovered this when I was going through all this stuff, and I recently got full coverage and full torte.

I’m asking for help to raise $20,000 to:

* Pay off the remaining loan balance on the stolen car

* Put a down payment on a safe, reliable replacement vehicle

* Cover fees related to stolen documents, rideshare costs, and legal consultations

* Get back to a place of stability and safety

This has been one of the most destabilizing experiences of my life. I’ve worked hard to get to this point and I never imagined something like this would happen — especially right when I was starting to gain some footing.
