My name is Sarah Clark (aka kismA gritZ #2244) and our friend Sabrina (Fladness) needs our help <3

She has been such a blessing to all of us - I hope we can all bless her in return.

Unfortunately, Sabrina's car had a catastrophic failure on the morning of Monday, 9/29/2025 (fortunately, no one was hurt) and the whole back side of her Prius engine blew apart.

Also, most unfortunate - It's 100% not fixable and the cost to replace the engine is more than the car is currently worth - she is going to need a "new to her" vehicle (which she is hoping will be a little taller than her Prius!

After surviving 2 emergency surgeries in the last 10 months, all Sabrina's money is currently committed to paying her medical bills.

Also, her family resolved an air conditioning issue at their home this blistering 2025 summer, further depleting anything remaining which once resembled a financial cushion for their family.

I'm calling in any favors that you have in your heart for Sabrina and her family - It is hard to fathom our friend in this current conundrum.

My goal is to at least have a down payment for a safe and reliable vehicle. We're truly grateful for any amount shared towards this issue. I believe in the power of the people and I know how many people love Sabrina, as she is truly an asset to Earth and Humanity. I know she has helped me and I'm sure so many others when we needed it and asked for nothing in return (even if we offered her something in return, she probably didn't take it, if I know Sabrina). But now it's OUR chance to return that help to Sabrina!

What an amazing opportunity for us, as a community, to rally around her like family - helping to lift the financial burden of replacing her car so she doesn’t have to worry about how to get around safely.

Praying this reaches everyone that we know and love with respectful urgency. A functional and reliable car is crucial in Southern Arizona, and critical for her family's livelihood to continue.

Here are the finer details of what happened the day her car died :(

On 9/29/2025, Sabrina and Lyric were en route to an appointment and caught off guard by an intense Sonoran Desert Monsoon.

The sky opened up and dumped buckets of rain, suddenly turning central Tucson into raging rapids. Her Little Prius came upon an intersection that was flooded, not a wash, just an intersection.

Recognizing that the water rushing through the street was probably too deep for them, Sabrina told Lyric they would be finding another route. Unfortunately, the new route then had a wall of water rushing towards them. Despite her best efforts, the wall of water smashed into the Prius and unbeknownst to her, some water must have gotten into the engine.

Later on while driving on the freeway, she heard a loud “BANG! CLUNK! CLINK! CLINK! CLANG!” followed by smoke pouring in through vents and loss of all power.

She was towed home to discover that her Prius had thrown a rod and blew out the back of the engine, creating a hole in the engine block (please see the pictures attached.) And to imagine she just paid for a full tune-up about 3 months ago too!

Lyric struggles with a fear of cars in floods. Two years ago she experienced a traumatic event with her dad when their truck became stuck in similar situation. She thought they were going to literally die as water rapidly poured through the doorframes, forcing her to climb on to the roof to wait for help.

That incident left Lyric traumatized with PTSD. For over a year, every time it rained she would put on her lifejacket, begging her mom and dad to put on lifejackets, and plead for them to “get to higher ground”. Right when she started to truly heal, this incident happened.

I have hope her family will be blessed with provision beyond all measure!
