Hi! My name is Sabrina Gartner. I am critically ill with an illness that has no cure and is debilitating. I am TPN dependent (IV nutrition). My stomach and small intestine are paralyzed, due to Gastroparesis Dysmotility, and the amount of desmoid tumors (due to F.A.P.) and scar tissue being wrapped around my intestine (my colon was removed when I was 16). I am in need of a transplant. Medical treatment is expensive and it's piling up. I could really use the help of others to be able to afford my medications, treatments and transplant. My insurance only covers so much, and not all my medications are covered.

Each commute to MSKCC & Mt. Sinai costs about $200 round trip (gas, tolls, tunnel, bridge & parking). Make this trip 1-3 times a month, sometimes months more.

Acupuncture weekly $135 out of pocket, insurance is being difficult about covering it. This could help with pain and vomiting episodes. It has been successful for some patients.
