Sabrina and Peter Through Major Heart Healing

Sabrina is one of my best friends and if you know her, you know she is a passionate and giving community leader that brings joy, laughter and play to our community through her company Central Coast Comedy Theater.

Late Friday, April 7 of this year, her fiancé Peter woke up with chest pain. Luckily, Sabrina was savvy to call 911 immediately and the medics arrived as Peter went into full cardiac arrest.

His heart stopped for two minutes and thanks to Sabrina's swift action and the care of the medics, they were able to revive him in time. He spent the weekend in the ICU and was released Sunday evening to continue to heal at home.

As you can imagine, this was an emotionally shocking, turbulent and traumatic thing to go through for both of them.

Less than one week later on April 13, Sabrina received a phone call from her sister that her father had suddenly passed away.

She had been planning a trip out to see him and spend time with him next month and sadly, the next time she will be headed to his home will be to bury and memorialize him.

Now she and Peter are facing a mountain of heart healing - Peter is taking time from his grad program to heal from the heart attack and Sabrina is healing from the stress of almost losing Peter plus the grief of suddenly losing her father.

As a business owner, Sabrina does not have any employee benefits of emergency leave or accrued time off. She is now the sole provider as Peter takes time to heal. 


In addition, she has the financial responsibility to keep the Central Coast Comedy Theater operational.

It is really hard to watch someone you love so dearly navigate their dark times in life. We can’t do anything to change what happened, and we can’t take anyone’s pain away.

But we can support in a way that will make this time more easeful for them.

For Sabrina and Peter, I am calling in their loved ones and anyone else who is willing and able to contribute. Giving in this way will make a significant difference to their healing journey and help alleviate the financial load that is accumulating.

This money will go toward paying for their life - things like rent and bills as well as business expenses. This will allow Sabrina breathing room to travel as necessary for funeral proceedings and wherever else she may be needed at this time.
