My name is Mohammed Hemaid, I’m from Gaza, Palestine, and I now live in Canada. But my heart is still there… with a family fighting for their lives every single day simply because they were born in Gaza.

My aunt Sabreen Alrayess (Hamada) (34 years old) and her children — Yousef Hamada(12 years old), Yasmin Hamada (10 years old), Farah Hamada (8 years old), and Salma Hamada (3 years old) — are living under unimaginable conditions. Every day is a struggle just to survive.

Every detail of their life is heartbreaking:

They walk for hours to get water that is often unsafe to drink.

They sleep in darkness and rely on a phone flashlight at night.

They cook over firewood because there is no gas.

Their home has been completely damaged by bombings, and they live with no safe shelter.

Food is scarce, prices are skyrocketing, and malnutrition is taking a serious toll on their bodies.

They have no income, no protection, and no way out of this daily nightmare.

This family is not asking for the impossible…

They are simply asking to survive — to have a meal, a sip of clean water, and a night without fear.
