Sabarra, an 8th grade Reading and Language Arts Teacher at Crosby ISD, was involved in a severe car accident on her way to work on Monday, December 11th. She was lifelighted to a Houston hospital where she underwent four surgeries. At this time, December 20th, she remains in the hospital and will undergo, at least, one more surgery. From the hospital she will transition to a rehabilitation facility where she will receive extensive therapy.

Her financial burden will be significant and we hope that this GoFundMe will lighten the burden of upcoming expenses. The expenses are as follows but not limited to; hospital bills, extensive physical therapy, time off from work, transportation after hospital stay, etc. Sabarra will also have to break the lease of her current apartment.

As her friends and coworkers, we have seen Ms. Redmond pour her heart and soul into her job and students. We have personally witnessed her giving to her students who may or may not get positive home support, providing meals to students who otherwise may not get consistently at home, attending sporting events of students who may not have positive parent involvement and completing her job with pride and integrity providing students with structure and support, personally and academically. We hope that we can give back to her as much as she gives back to others.

No contribution is too big or too small and we know that Ms. Redmond will be appreciative of all gifts, even if it is a kind word of encouragement. We thank you for your thoughts, prayers and offerings.
