Hello all, I am starting this fundraiser to support a team member and her family during and unimaginable time. Saba Wolday is a manager in Virginia and has worked with us for 9 years.  She has a 2 year old son Kaleb who was with her parents in Ethiopia, when he took what they thought was a terrible fall.

Saba rushed to Ethiopia on the next flight, as she got the news that he was unable to feel or move below the waist. She has since learned he has been diagnosed with a very rare condition called GPS- Gray platelet syndrome. This is what she learned to have caused him to fall.

Kaleb has been unresponsive in the ICU in Ethiopia for the last 14 days and it has been a continuous battle to determine ways to treat him.

I just spoke with Saba and the poverty within Ethiopia isn’t helping her son improve to where she can bring him home and get treatment in the US.

Currently all cost: supplies, medicine, soap, hand sanitizer, syringes and other items needed to treat him or used for his treatment is required to be paid out of pocket by Saba and her husband  or brought into the hospital by them for the doctors and staff to use. They also are having to find supplies in the US and send them with travelers to Ethiopia in order to reach him at the hospital in time. I ask that if you have the means to help offset any cost to help them during this time. They are already living in a parents worst nightmare. Anything we can do to help them, I know would be much appreciated with them now having to source out the supplies to help him heal along with the financial burden imposed.
