Acting now for a better future
Donation protected

My name is Colin and I'm an actor in a family of actors. Mom and Dad met acting in college, and my Dad and I still have the same agent back home in Kansas City MO. I remember not being old enough to know what I was, sitting in the middle of a wide open field, black powder rifles going off all around me as Dad portrayed Frank James on horseback. Having been brought up with the history of the James gang and other tales about pretty much anything, I knew that when got older I'd want to be good enough to be able to tell a story to anyone. I'm 27 now, I'm a company member of New American Folk Theatre here in Chicago, and I'm still telling stories. Now I'm ready for the next step. Working with so many talented performers here has made my need for more training that much clearer. I've accepted a position in a two-year Masters of Fine Arts conservatory program at the University of Essex in Loughton England--the adventure of a lifetime and an opportunity to diversify my storytelling abilities. All I need to do is get there. Any donation here will go directly to the payment of tuition. Everyone wants the chance to take their future into their own hands, and I for one am not intent on wasting any more opportunities like this one. With a little help from you all, I know I can do this.
