We are reaching out with a very heavy heart. Our dog Ryder, our best friend, my shadow, my whole heart is currently in critical condition and undergoing emergency surgery to save his life. His abdomen and spleen twisted completely, a life-threatening and extremely painful condition that happened suddenly and without warning. The vets said it’s a miracle we even found him in time.
Our sweet Ryder Roo isn’t just a pet, he’s family. He’s been by my side through everything: heartbreak, hard times, sleepless nights, and every moment in between. Anyone who’s met Ryder falls in love with him instantly. He’s the gentlest, most loving soul, always wanting to make people smile. Whether it was cuddling me when I was going through something or greeting strangers like they were old friends, Ryder just radiates goodness. He is the biggest goofball full of love. He’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog.
The emergency surgery Ryder needed is not only incredibly complex but it’s also very expensive. The vets are doing everything they can to save him, but even after the surgery, Ryder will need to stay in the hospital for close monitoring and recovery. From there, he’ll require ongoing care, multiple follow-up appointments, medications, and possibly further treatment depending on how his body heals. The emotional toll of all this is already overwhelming, and the financial stress makes it even harder. We are doing literally everything in our power to give him the best shot.
We never imagined we would be in this position, but the cost of emergency care and life-saving surgery is overwhelming. We know times are tough for everyone right now, and we absolutely hate asking for help or handouts but if you can donate anything, even a few dollars, it would mean the world. And if you can’t, just sharing this would help more than you know.
Ryder deserves a fighting chance, and we are doing everything we can to give that to him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, or donating. Every little bit helps us fight this battle.
With love,
Kayla, Sam & Ryder
