Emily’s Recovery

On Friday the 26th of April Emily was involved in a motorcycle accident.

She is suffering from a small fracture to the base of her skull, bruised ribs, fractured pelvis, fractured left humerus, elbow, tib/fib, fractured right femur in two places, multiple fractured bones in her right foot, multiple contusions, and many other small fractures. She’s had two surgeries to repair her broken body. We’ve been in the hospital since that night while she heals.

Her heart and mind are as strong as ever while her body mends. Her sense of humor also hasn’t suffered. She has a long road of physical therapy and recovery ahead. She’ll have to relearn to walk again among many other hurdles. Her projected recovery time is 6 months to 1 year to return to normal life.

This event has incurred massive medical bills including time lost at work and everything that comes with it. Any help you could give would be extremely appreciated as we navigate this traumatic event.
