The Covid-19 pandemic stressed the care facilities of Sri Lanka to the brink of breakage. The current economic situation followed right after and has already taken an unforgiving toll on the medical care facilities in the country.

Sandwiched right in the middle of this impoverished care system are our innocent and beloved little children. They do not have to suffer. They must not suffer. The least that can be done is to safeguard their right to basic medical care.

The Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) in Colombo-Sri Lanka cares for many childen with illnesses. They are alarmingly short of rabies vaccination for children in the age group of 6 to 12. The medical staff urgently require  Anti Rabies Vaccine. We wish to secure 5 Million Rupees in funding to supply 1500 shots of the vaccination. This is approximately £10,000. Rabies causes inflammation of the brain. What follows is a cascade of suffering that is best left unsaid. It is unthinkable to associate such suffering with a child. The children are waiting. If we hurry, we can save most of them!
